Whether you need to convert a photo for work, school, or personal use, turning a picture into a PDF on your iPhone is quick and easy. There are several methods you can use, both with built-in features and third-party apps.
1. Using the Files App (iOS Built-In Feature)
Step 1: Open Photos
- Open the Photos app on your iPhone and select the picture(s) you want to turn into a PDF.
Step 2: Share the Photo
- Tap the Share icon (square with an arrow pointing upwards) at the bottom left of the screen.
Step 3: Save to Files
- Scroll down in the Share menu and tap Save to Files.
- Choose a folder within the Files app where you want to save the image.
Step 4: Convert to PDF
- Open the Files app, navigate to the folder where you saved the image, and tap the image.
- Tap the Share icon again, then scroll down and choose Create PDF.
- A PDF version of the image will be automatically created in the same folder.
2. Using Books App
Step 1: Open Photos
- Open the Photos app and select the photo you want to convert.
Step 2: Share the Photo
- Tap the Share icon and scroll through the options.
Step 3: Select “Books”
- Scroll and tap Books from the app list.
- This will automatically convert the image to PDF format and open it in the Books app.
Step 4: Save or Share
- Once in the Books app, your photo will be saved as a PDF. You can find it in the Library section of the Books app or share it as a PDF from there.
3. Using Third-Party Apps (e.g., Adobe Scan)
If you need advanced options or are converting multiple images, you might prefer a third-party app like Adobe Scan or CamScanner.
Step 1: Download Adobe Scan
- Download Adobe Scan from the App Store and open the app.
Step 2: Import the Photo
- Tap the Gallery icon to import the image from your Camera Roll.
Step 3: Adjust and Convert
- Adobe Scan will automatically detect the edges of the photo, allowing you to crop or adjust if needed.
- Tap Save as PDF once you’re ready, and the image will be converted into a PDF.
Step 4: Save or Share
- You can now save or share the PDF directly from Adobe Scan.
